CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is bringing back its Fly With An Astronaut experience this month.
As part of the tour, participants will have the opportunity to experience various attractions at the visitor complex with a veteran astronaut as their guide. The experience also includes a catered lunch, a Q&A session with the astronaut and a self-guided tour of the Apollo/Saturn V Center.
Each session, which is limited to 43 people, runs from 9:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Participants will receive a pin and an autographed card.
The first veteran astronauts scheduled for the Fly With An Astronaut experience this month will be Mark Lee on Jan. 13 and Brian Duffy on Jan. 14-15. Lee flew on four shuttle missions, including Atlantis, Endeavour and Discovery. Duffy also flew on four shuttle missions — twice as a pilot and twice as a commander.
