It is one of the most awaited events of the year
The dates for Dubai International Boat Show 2023 were recently announced for the 1st to the 5th of March, from 3 pm to 8 pm or 9 pm each day. It will be the last major event of the MENA and GCC’s 2022-2023 winter season. For this reason, the organizers expect over 30,000 visitors to show up, a jump ahead of the previous year’s turnout.
The 2022 Dubai International Boat Show was hosted after a two-year wait due to the advent of the global pandemic. It, therefore, came as a welcome relief for yachting enthusiasts worldwide, particularly in the MENA region.
The Dubai Harbour venue was deemed ideal for organizing the event as it can fit yachts of 525 feet and has 1,100 berths. It is a renowned area in the emirate for luxury yacht rental. Like 2022, Dubai Harbour will be the venue for the upcoming 2023 event.
Several luxury superyachts, megayachts and state-of-the-art marine equipment were showcased during the event with much fanfare. Some notable introductions were the Triton submersibles, folding finds, the sustainable Faro boars and the luxury Moonlight ll yacht.
Several renowned speakers attended the event, including Sahar Al Rasti, the first female ship captain of the UAE. Other noteworthy speakers include Gulfcraft’s Dep MD Abeer Alshaali and PelorusX’s founder Jimmy Caroll.
This year’s event is expected to be bigger and more spectacular.
The most-awaited and vital aspect of the event is the luxury yacht collection on display with over 150 boats. Over 800 world-class brands, including well-known companies like Azimut and Gulf Craft, are all set to display their work. Boats worth 1.5 billion dirhams in total will be showcased, emphasizing 4.3 trillion dollars of private wealth.
There are several new inclusions for the upcoming event, from futuristic water toys and a marina display to a vast dive pool and supercars. It includes specialized diving and marine equipment, services, and much more.
Several world-famous racers are expected to appear in the event’s supercar avenue. The event further provides interested parties a chance to learn more about diving techniques and technologies.
During the Middle East Yachting Conference, over 100 professionals and experts will discuss innovations in the maritime sector. The registration portal is currently open for anyone interested in participating or finding out more about the conference.
Captains and other people working in the marine industry can share their views and collaborate with like-minded in the industry during the show’s Captain’s Night.
A key highlight of the event is the UAE-focused pavilion. It will shed light on the country’s maritime sector’s progress in expanding and improving tourism and sustainability. The pavilion further sheds light on related local businesses and their plans for further development.
Professional fishermen can showcase their skills and strategies through the event’s fishing competition. Attractive prizes will be up for grabs, and the competition is open to participants worldwide.
With the show’s tagline, “Elevating human potential through yachting”, the show has collaborated with Experiential Yachting Forum to explore holistic opportunities in the sector.
It is the second edition of the forum; the first one was successfully hosted in Monaco recently. The aim is to “change the perception of yachting”, and ensure the industry’s sustainability.
It will be hosted during the 2nd and 3rd of March to discuss holistic yachting, multifunctional superyachts, and investment opportunities. The aim is to change the perception of yachting and ensure sustainable development.
Sponsored by Tanishq, the show introduces a VIP lounge for special guests to enjoy the event’s best features at their leisure. It includes several gourmet dining opportunities and upscale music experiences, all in a luxury marine-themed setting. VIP guests can relax and experience the event while watching the harbor’s superior sunset views.
The show’s ticket prices largely depend on the number of days and experiences the visitor chooses. The base ticket prices start from 35 AED, and the event is free for children under 12. Guests can further opt for parking privileges, priority parking, access to the VIP lounge, and more, all of which add to the ticket price.
